We were delighted to host the annualISACA EuroCACS Conference in 2018. What are the deciding factors when choosing a conference destination?
We use three deciding factors (in no particular order) when selecting a location:
- Meeting Space layout
- Chapter involvement (we are made up of chapters throughout the US and look to our local chapters to assist us in promoting a meeting location).
What are the objectives of the conference?
ISACA's computer audit, control and security conference includes attendees from ISACA’s global community of IS/IT auditors, consultants and educators, information security professionals, risk professionals, chief information officers and many more experts and leading practitioners in business, government and technology, all at different stages of their careers.
ISACA’s EuroCACS conference is well respected for its valuable networking opportunities, bringing together not only ISACA members, but others who are seeking to understand issues, overcome challenges and find solutions to realise the positive potential of technology.
What were the main highlights of the conference in Edinburgh?
The highlights of the conference were the opening and closing keynote speakers; Caspar Berry, Risk & Decision Making and Mike Walsh, The Big Data Revolution.
Delegates enjoyed St. Andrew Square and Edinburgh's vibrant nightlife. We had wonderful weather during our time in Edinburgh, so the attendees were able to get outside during breaks and walk around the city in the evenings.
