From 27 May 2016 Delta will commence a daily service from Edinburgh Airport direct to New York JFK.
The addition of Delta’s service to New York ensures passengers will be offered even greater choice in both direct routes to New York, but also greater connectivity across all of North America via Delta’s extensive network and strong Sky Team alliance at New York JFK.

Finnair has also announced a new seasonal service from Helsinki to Edinburgh for 2016.The three-times weekly route, which will be operated by an A319, begins on 18 April and will run until 27 October.
Gordon Dewar, added:
Not only will it give Scots fantastic connections to the Far East via Finnair's excellent hub in Helsinki, it will also open up our country to significant traffic from Russia, China, Japan and Finland itself."
Further to this, Czech Airlines, the national carrier of the Czech Republic, has also announced new direct routes to Poland, as well as an additional link to Prague. From 14 July, the airline will fly directly between Edinburgh and Lodz and Rzeszow and will also operate an indirect service between Edinburgh and Prague via Lodz.
These new flights will offer the strong local Polish community in Edinburgh, and indeed tourists from all three countries, more choice of ways to travel to and from Edinburgh Airport and a better selection of services.
Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's busiest airport. More than 40 airlines serve 100-plus destinations and 10.2 million passengers passed through the airport in 2014 – the busiest year ever for a Scottish airport.
July 2015 was the airport’s busiest month ever with over 1.2 million passengers travelling through its terminal.
