The Scotsman Hotel and Grand Café

Scotsman Hotel Exterior

We are delighted to welcome the Scotsman Hotel back into membership, a 4* hotel located within the former home of Scotland’s national newspaper just off the Royal Mile. When converting the printing house into a boutique hotel, significant effort was made to ensure all original architectural features and layout remained intact. As a result, no two rooms are alike and each bedroom at The Scotsman Hotel is individually designed to offer a unique experience with every visit.

The recently opened Grand Café at The Scotsman is set within The Scotsman’s former advertising hall, one of the most magnificent Old Town venues. The café seats 150 covers across its spectacular ground floor and balcony, which is filled with light, character and period features dating back to 1905.

The Grand Café brings the buzz of a vibrant modern café bar during the day before transforming into the perfect late night dining spot, with live piano music played on the balcony by an in-house pianist taking requests into the small hours.
