Meet the Commercial & Membership Team

The Commercial & Membership Team falls under the Convention Edinburgh arm of Marketing Edinburgh. Last July, the accommodation services and digital sales responsibility moved out of the Business Tourism Team & Marketing Team respectively to sit under one Head of Department, Hillary Bett.

The Team are busy looking after our varied membership community, running the Edinburgh Rewards Programme, promoting and running the accommodation services of Convention Edinburgh and the sale of digital advertising across the Marketing Edinburgh on-line platforms. So without further ado, we are delighted to introduce the Commercial & Membership Team:

After twelve years at Convention Edinburgh, including 7 years in Association and Corporate Sales and 4 as Head of Membership, Hillary took up the newly created position of Head of Commercial & Membership in July 2017. Her new role encompasses managing the Accommodation Services Team and the Convention Edinburgh Membership programme, as well as the responsibility for revenue generation through the digital platforms of Marketing Edinburgh. Hillary is an avid animal lover and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her 5 pets whilst enjoying exploring her new kingdom of residence Fife.

Joanna joined the membership team in August 2015 as the Business Development Manager and has since taken on the additional role of selling digital advertising on Marketing Edinburgh’s consumer platforms. In her spare time Joanna enjoys exploring Edinburgh’s superb restaurant and bar scene, travelling around the globe with her fiancé and friends, and attending various music festivals across the country!

Katie joined the membership team in September 2014 and provides support to all of our members and the team in general. Her responsibilities include creating and supporting members with their profiles on www.meetingedinburgh.com and www.edinburghrewards.com and the distribution of the Edinburgh Reward Passport to meetings and conferences throughout the city.With two rambunctious boys home life is busy with all things World Cup at the moment! 

 

 

Client Visits and Events Executive

We have recently bid farewell to Kirstie Fraser, the Team’s Events Manager. Kirstie left Marketing Edinburgh on 22 June and has hung up her Events hat to pursue a new career in the drinks industry. Kirstie was a great addition to the Team and she will be greatly missed, but we are excited to welcome our newest addition, hopefully very soon!
