Bidding for a Conference

Bidding for a conference can be an exhilarating and extremely rewarding experience. Through the Edinburgh Ambassador Programme, you will be provided with following assistance at the bid stage to ensure a professional presentation:

  • Help to prepare and submit a formal proposal to the organising committee and attract your association conference to Edinburgh.
  • Help to research the association to understand their bidding strategy, provide you with the relevant city information, apply for any relevant financial support, produce a bespoke bid document highlighting Edinburgh’s strengths as a conference destination.

Continued Support 

Once your conference is confirmed, the Convention Edinburgh team will continue to help you at every stage of planning and organising - from site inspections to booking accommodation, advising on the social programme and providing promotional materials.

We can assist you with appointing specialist services, such as a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), Destination Management Company (DMC), Event Management Company or Entertainment Organiser. Working with you to identify your exact needs and also guide you through the tender and selection process.
