Events & Groups Executive
Apex Hotels Head Office, 32 Hailes Avenue, Edinburgh, Edinburgh, EH13 0LZ

Salary/Benefits: £21,281 per annum

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, with occasional weekends and evenings.

The Role:

  • To effectively promote all the hotel’s facilities to the Conference, Event and Group rooms market to achieve the maximum sales revenue and client satisfaction for each event.
  • Ensure that each enquiry and booking is handled efficiently from enquiry stage through to arrival, departure, billing and follow up.
  • To maintain an accurate status of all enquiries and bookings and to ensure that the highest standard of administration is carried out for every group enquiry and booking.
  • Enter all details into Opera, reporting on all activity conducted with each enquiry and booking
  • To be responsible for issuing contracts and paperwork, in line with Apex procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous Event and/or Group rooms related experience is highly desirable
  • Can demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
