Ambassador Networking Events

Ready Steady Cook!, a private viewing of the Van Gogh exhibit, a summer barbeque - these are a few of our recent Ambassador events. Organised by the Edinburgh Convention Bureau to raise awareness of Edinburgh’s great assets as a conference destination, they also give Edinburgh Ambassadors a chance to exchange their conference organising experiences with ‘new’ Edinburgh Ambassadors.

Invitations go both to individuals with potential to attract a conference to the city, and also to experienced Edinburgh Ambassadors.

An Edinburgh Ambassadors says:
'I have been a regular organiser of international conferences here in the University of Edinburgh and have benefited greatly from being involved with the Edinburgh Ambassador Programme. I have found in particular that the social events such as the dinners and private viewings of exhibitions a most helpful way for me to meet with others in Edinburgh who organise conferences and meetings as they are often able to provide me with their own experiences. In return people have consulted with me who are about to begin their own office planning. The social events are tremendously beneficial to our Edinburgh Ambassadors. They are always organised in a professional fashion and I find them greatly beneficial.’
